There is something seriously wrong in this country on how we treat the men and women who are deployed to meet our Foreign Policy commitments, and the associated history that goes with it.

Canberra is waging an insurgent war on our military history
AARON PATRICK: A three-year campaign by powerful bureaucrats to suppress the official histories of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars needs to stop.
The four-volume official histories of the two wars have been completed at immense effort by historians at the Australian War Memorial, a group of world-class military scholars who believe Australians are entitled to know what defence forces did in their name.
It was clear a faction within the national security establishment was determined to block publication of their work. Dr Stockings decided there was no point submitting the last manuscript while the other volumes were being held.
There are no legal, moral or governance reasons for suppressing the information. The intelligence services have made no complaints about secrets being revealed. No information about alleged war crimes is cited not already in the public domain. No individuals are defamed

Sounds very familiar to something that happened in the early 1970's if you ask me.

That reminds me. Where is that movie.
