It's a load of bollocks

There is not a single solution for positive identification to be found. You have the official federal DigitalID application and then there is the Aus post solution and then there is the numerous times you have to deal with banks, labour hire companies, Telstra, Optus, real estate agents and so on.

Bollocks - why do these people other than federal or state organizations need a hardcopy of my documents putting me at risk of identity theft is they get breached, for which my only course of action is a class action along with everyone else.

What I want - a single application that I maintain via providing it with hardcopies of documents that is accepted (read mandatory - tough luck mate) by every organization, service and corporation in the damn country that I am who I say I am. No stupid butts or maybe's, and no you don't need that document mate.

I was around when a once prime minister was debating the Australia card, a one stop shop on identity. It was squashed. Now its 100 points nearly everywhere you go.
